Transatlantic indie/folk/country duo, ‘Our Atlantic Roots’, fuse together poetic and beautifully authentic lyrics with incredibly tight harmonies. 

 

With over 3 million streams and hundreds of live shows under their belts, as well as national BBC TV and BBC Radio 2 features, they are an emerging act that are really going places!

Rodney Branigan

The Texas-born troubadour who learned to play in Austin, perform in Los Angeles, craft songs in Nashville, and put it all together in London has played all types of music in all types of venues in his storied career. His adventurous, boundary-breaking guitar playing earning him the title "The Two Guitar Man" has led to performances across America, India, Africa, and Europe. He was personally picked by Sir Michael Eavis to headline the 10,000 people Glasto Extravaganza

The Wandering Hearts

The Wandering Hearts burst onto the scene in 2015.using rich three-part harmonies with folk, Americana, and timeless songwriting, they quickly carved a space for themselves on both sides of the Atlantic.Their debut album Wild Silence (2018) topped the UK Americana charts, earning widespread acclaim and the support of Bob Harris at BBC Radio 2. Their self-titled second album followed in 2021, delivering a second consecutive #1. The band holds the distinction of being the first British act to debut at both the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium in the same week — invited by country legend Marty Stuart after opening for him in the UK. They’ve since returned to the Opry stage three times and joined Stuart at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Opry’s 100th anniversary celebration.

There are prizes for lines and full houses!. It promises to be a fun night with a chance to even sing along to your favourite song clips!

Graham Dent Jazz trio

Sun afternoon 22nd February

(2.30-4.30pm)

Graham Dent is a popular jazz pianist whose music combines accessible melodic invention and gently compelling grooves. He is equally at home playing jazz standards, be they swing, latin or ballads, as well as his own compositions. Joining him on this trio gig are two of the best on the Somerset jazz scene, Mark Pembrey on saxophone and Adrian Smith on double bass

Tom Corneill and Blair Chadwick

Saturday 28th February

With many years in different bands that have had BBC Radio 2, Radio 6 Music and playing Glastonbury festival. Tom and Blair decided to move onto the next chapter, forming Young Martyrs and Blair & The Bullets respectively and going on to win more acclaim in the worlds of Rock and Americana. Tonight, each will bring you an intimate set of tunes and tales from the road as they muse on their stories so far. A night of stories & song from two veterans of live music.

The Gleaves

Saturday 14th March

Josh and Chloe Ann Gleaves are two musicians writing and performing songs together, inspired by a variety of the roots genres.

Josh brings boldness and power in his vocals, strong rhythm and mind blowing lead guitar playing, taking his songwriting influence from modern americana and country storytelling.

Chloe Ann is soft yet soulful. her angelic voice is soothing. Her intricate fingerpicking style, reminiscent of 60s and 70s folk. Together, The Gleaves create a completely unique sound. Their live performance is one of a kind - oozing with the love they share for one another, leaving you with that wholesome feel good feeling.

Barney Kenny

Saturday 21st March

Having supported the likes of Seth Lakeman, Mad Dog McRea and many more, Barney Kenny is quickly carving out a name for himself as a solo artist across the folk circuits. He blends storytelling and acoustic music with his foot-stomping somewhat delta style. His blues and slide playing is ever-exciting to watch

Scarlett StoneJazz trio

Sun afternoon 29th March

(2.30-4.30pm)

The Scarlett Stone Trio likes to relive the golden age of jazz, with recent shows paying tribute to songs from the silver screen and the music of Cole Porter.

They’ve been having fun playing a wide variety of jazz and Latin tunes together across the southwest for the last couple of years.

Luke Potter

Saturday 21st February

He first broke onto the scene

with 2017’s single “Something More,” on Sony Records, a track that’s had over 18 million Spotify

streams. 

He has since released more music, working with producers who have also worked with Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Kate Bush amongst others.

Luke is an up and coming musician that we can expect to see on a big stage one day!

The cream of Bristol’s spoken word talent - old faves Charis, John, Alex et al will be joined by a couple of new faces. This was so entertaining last time that we just had to get them back!

He excited us so much the last time he played that we just had to have him back!

He has played all over UK and Europe, with an incredible show of his own songs and a fantastic collection of covers.
