Young talent aged 15-18 from local Somerset Schools & Colleges will be competing for the coveted trophy and a chance for a paid gig at the Bluebird.

As well as writing and releasing his own original music, Luke has built a reputation for his well crafted covers. These covers have been noticed and shared by the likes of Alicia Keys, Bastille, McFly, the Jonas Brothers and Elton John.

In March 2023, Luke was surprised by Ed Sheeran and invited up on stage at the O2 Arena in London to perform a duet in front of 20,00 people. Ed had watched some of Luke’s music online and wanted to show support for Luke as an up-and-coming songwriter. This performance went viral online and Luke was invited to open a show for Ed Sheeran in Berlin in the following April. 

Since this incredible turn of events, Luke has been gigging non-stop and releasing more music to his new following. 

We are pleased to have local musician Chris Jagger appearing for a special session featuring songs from his many records the first of which was released fifty years ago in 1973. 

He will also bring along a guest to liven up the evening and possibly dip into his autobiography. 

“I tend to gauge the show according to the mood of the audience and myself, that way it keeps it real” he says. 

Award winning Rileys Cove have released their recent 'Listen Carefully' EP on music streaming channels and are releasing a Vinyl album on the evening.

This night celebrates the album. They will be joined on stage by a duo of strings and a cahon for this very special evening of music. Don't miss this one!

Cissy + Dan Hughes joined musical forces in September 2024 after a chance encounter during the final hours of that year’s Glastonbury Festival. Sharing musical influences such as Nick Drake, Melody Gardot and Sade, the pair soon formed a fruitful creative partnership, later releasing their debut single ‘Fallow Year’ in November 2024. Since then, the pair have continued to write, rehearse and perform together, playing originals and covers rooted in jazz, folk and blues. 

This will be a chilled afternoon of jazz styled music

Jamie Yost is a singer-songwriter based in the South West, UK. Raised in Devon Jamies music is heavily inspired by the vast landscape, his Folk roots and features interwoven Alt-pop melodies that brings moments of Bon Iver, Ben Howard to Dermot Kennedy and The War On Drugs
