Singer-songwriter Jenna Witts grew up in Woolacombe and spent her life living on the south west coast by the ocean, and this flows through her folk & country style music. 

With three solo albums to her name and a history of nationwide tours, venues such as Minak Theatre & The Royal Albert Hall and supporting big names such as Elkie Brooks, Seth Lakeman, Fisherman’s Friends and Show Of Hands to name just a few! 

With an acoustic guitar in one hand and ukulele in the other, join Jenna for melodic escapism and some laughter too!

Elly Hopkins

Saturday 13th June

Bristol-based songwriter Elly Hopkins makes music rooted in folk, country, and blues with a fistful of grit. Playing solo, her sets centre on emotional clarity, sharp lyric writing, and a soulful, expressive voice.

 

Animal, her debut EP released in 2025 received critical acclaim: “full of raw, emotional energy, attitude and snarling guitars… the future for Elly Hopkins is very bright indeed.” Americana UK

Sophie Rose & Emilia Quinn

Saturday 20th June

Two powerhouse artists Sophie Rose and Emilia Quinn join forces to create a magical duo experience of acoustic Americana, Folk and Country.

Sophies debut single ‘Healing in the Burn’ hit the #1 spot on the iTunes UK Country charts and she has since been showcased on BBC Introducing and the Albert Hall in Manchester.

Emilia Quinn is a dynamic UK singer/songwriter known for her raw, soulful voice.

Jinder

Saturday 27th June

Jinder is a songwriter and storyteller based in the UK's pastoral Westcountry. 

 

Best known for modern folk classic 'Keep Me In Your Heart', an evergreen song which topped the download charts in eight countries after being featured in the successful British movie 'Fisherman's Friends' in 2019, Jinder has released thirteen critically acclaimed albums to date, for five different labels, including Sony BMG and Universal.

Sam Dowden

Saturday 4th July

Sam is a Devon based Singer Songwriter; as well as a cover and Loop Pedal Artist of excellence! 

With unique skills, Sam has performed at many events in the South-West and is a regular at many of the best local pubs and venues in the North Devon area.

Sam released his second album (2025) and will be showcasing his latest and best material for the customers at the Bluebird Cafe as well as his iconic covers, so you are in for a treat!

Small Town Jones

Saturday 18th July

Described as Acoustic, folk – Americana Small Town Jones have released 4 albums all to much acclaim. Playing Radio 2’s Dermot O Learys Saturday session twice and receiving numerous 4 & 5 star reviews in the top music press. As well as touring the UK & Ireland with his band Small Town Jones have also played numerous support slots with the likes of The Kinks legend Ray Davies, Ethan Johns, Damien Jurado and Sara Watkins. Jim will be playing as a duo with his best friend Dave.

Nicole Perez

Saturday 25th July

Nicole returns to the Bluebird café for another delightful evening of rich, warm and sensual Bossa Nova with her jazz trio.

From Corcovado to Girl from Ipanema, this French chanteuse will take you on a journey through the infamous Bossa Nova wave that took the world by storm in the early 1960s. 

Singing in Portuguese, French and English, from Rio to New York via Paris, she delights her audiences with classic and original tunes.

Saturday 1st August

Stevie is a firm favourite with our audiences Her love for theatre brings a theatrical sound to her original music. 

With haunting vocals Stevie captivates her audience taking them on a journey, with her raw lyrics exploring the darker sides of life and love. 

As well as originals, she performs a mixture of creative covers, ranging from Fleetwood mac to Ed Sheeran.

Tim Faulks

Saturday 8th August

Singer/guitarist, from Weymouth, who plays a wonderful collection of acoustic covers from Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi and Ed Sheeran as well as a few of his own acoustic songs.

 

Tim has a great easy listening vibe that you can’t help but enjoy!

Young Martyrs

Saturday 29th August

Young Martyrs have become one of the most respected artists on the UK independent music scene. Breaking out initially as a name in alt-country and Americana space, they’ve grown to make a name for themselves across indie and rock audiences. 

They have played festivals across the UK, including Glastonbury, and performed with the likes of Badly Drawn Boy, The Hooziers and McFly.

Fiddleback

Saturday 5th September

FiddleBack - Guitar, Fiddle & Harmony Vocals. A blend of classic favourites, originals & foot stomping folk tunes.

Ollie sings smoky, stripped back versions of popular songs with a soulful twist. Lush vocal harmonies, folk songs and violin melodies from Sam on the fiddle.

Ben Jordan

Saturday 12th September

Ben Jordans voyage has taken him to several musical hot beds (including New York City, Nashville, New Orleans, San Francisco, Boulder, CO, London, Dublin & Prague) 

He has played the big festivals of Isle of White & Glastonbury and worked with Norah Jones and Alabama 3. This will be a great night of music!

Dan & Cissy

Sun afternoon 31st May

Cissy + Dan Hughes joined musical forces in September 2024 after a chance encounter during the final hours of that year’s Glastonbury Festival. Sharing musical influences such as Nick Drake, Melody Gardot and Sade, the pair soon formed a fruitful creative partnership, later releasing their debut single ‘Fallow Year’ in November 2024. Since then, the pair have continued to write, rehearse and perform together, playing originals and covers rooted in jazz, folk and blues. 

This will be a chilled afternoon of jazz styled music

Jamie Yost is a singer-songwriter based in the South West, UK. Raised in Devon Jamies music is heavily inspired by the vast landscape, his Folk roots and features interwoven Alt-pop melodies that brings moments of Bon Iver, Ben Howard to Dermot Kennedy and The War On Drugs

James Morton

Sun afternoon 21st June

James has recorded and performed with some of the most prestigious musicians and artists in the world. James also holds a Masters in Jazz music from Guildhall School of Music and Drama and was the Mayoral ambassador of music for the city of Bristol UK 2014-2016.

This will be an incredible afternoon supported by Anders on piano. DO NOT miss this one!

St. fian blend trad folk with a their own stories of hope, love , life and the fun and struggles of the world to create music to make laugh, dance, think twice and maybe even a little tear.

Emma Harris Jazz trio

Emma is a jazz vocalist known for her silky-smooth tone, rich emotional depth, and a style that channels the heartfelt soul of the greats. Inspired by icons such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone, Emma brings a fresh, emotionally charged energy to classic jazz standards. Supported with Graham Dent on piano and Adrian Smith on bass.
